Treadles to Threads has formed a Tour de Fleece team this year!!
What is Tour de Fleece? Tour de Fleece is an annual, online event for spinners that coincides with the Tour de France cycling race. Participants set personal spinning goals and challenges for the duration of the Tour de France. Some participants choose to watch the Tour de France while spinning. It’s a fun, community-focused event where spinners connect, share progress, and encourage each other. Note that goals are PERSONAL. No goal is too small or too large – it is up to the spinner.
Details: Like the Tour de France, the Tour de Fleece runs July 5th to July 27th. Choose a goal, and get ready to start toward your goal on July 5th. We will have daily check-ins on the Ravelry page
Goals: Choose a goal that seems very doable for you. No goal is too easy or too difficult or too ridiculous or too lofty. Sample Goals: spin at least 10 minutes every day, spin two pounds of roving, improve your drop spindle skills, spin all the bits and pieces of wool you have collected. What is YOUR goal?? Spin an hour a day? Spin some of the miscellaneous braids you have? Spin cotton for 22 days? or flax? or silk? Finally spin all of the Amazing Multi-Breed Spinning Experience fleece? Choose a goal and post it in the Ravelry group.
